Electric Netting
Post Spacing
Many of the nets we sell have a post
spacing of about 12 ft. For Plus nets,
the need to install extra support posts
has been virtually eliminated. These
new nets have a post spacing of only
6' 8" which also supports their weight
better too. NOTE: The Plus nets are
different lengths than the regular ones.
Plus nets include:
• VersaNet® Plus
• PoultryNet™ Plus
• PermaNet® Plus
• ElectroNet® Plus
• ElectroStop® Plus
• ElectroFence™ Plus
Quick Ground Netting
All of the horizontal strands in ElectroNet® and ElectroStop® are electrified except for
the bottom strand which sits directly on the ground. In Quick Ground netting however,
the bottom strand has stainless steel wires twisted into it that are independent of the
electrified horizontals. This strand has its own individual metal tab at each end onto
which you clip the ground lead from your energizer. The bottom strand connects
each of the 7" steel post spikes that are in the ground and creates a ground field for the
energizer. When it is time to move the net, simply do so as with any other but without
the tedious task of also having to relocate your ground rod. Quick Ground electric
netting is excellent for situations where livestock is moved frequently.
NOTE: Quick Ground netting can be used in conjunction with regular net. As a general
guideline, Wellscroft recommends using one roll of Quick Ground for every three rolls
of regular net. When additional net is needed, a second roll of Quick Ground must be
added adjacent to the first so the bottom tabs can be connected to increase the ground
field for the energizer. Continue the ratio of 1 Quick Ground net to 3 regular nets up
to the desired length. This is just an average and it is a good idea to test the voltage in
your fence using a fence voltage meter to identify whether or not there is sufficient
grounding. Available with ElectroNet and ElectroStop only.
